went to see this tonight. my friend and i were the only people in the whole theater under 50. where are all the youngs? why they don’t wanna see this movie?? anywho, Phyllida Lloyd delivers the best portrayal of old age/dementia i’ve ever seen on the big screen and, of course, meryl streep is flawless. 2 thumbs up!

this is possibly the worst sci-fi movie ever. like, imagine if starship troopers was really, really bad and skyline would still be worse.

Re: Scream 4 - Not as scary, smart, or funny as the first. However, not as much as a disaster as 2 and 3.

just saw this. it’s flawless. worth the full price of the ticket and then some.

i haven’t been able close my eyes normally, much less sleep right, ever since i saw black swan and i’m blaming you. that shizz was totally whackadoodle bananas. last night i had one of the most terrifying nightmares i’ve ever experienced and enough is enough. every time i shut my eyes, the image of a cray-cray natalie portman greets me with fierce intensity. your movie was ok, but, damn. a girl needs to sleep, son.

3-D is a waste of a perfectly good dimension. Hollywood’s current crazy stampede toward it is suicidal. It adds nothing essential to the moviegoing experience. For some, it is an annoying distraction. For others, it creates nausea and headaches. It is driven largely to sell expensive projection equipment and add a $5 to $7.50 surcharge on already expensive movie tickets. Its image is noticeably darker than standard 2-D. It is unsuitable for grown-up films of any seriousness. It limits the freedom of directors to make films as they choose. For moviegoers in the PG-13 and R ranges, it only rarely provides an experience worth paying a premium for.

i have to agree. keep the 3-d for kid stuff like how to train your dragon. it was great in 3-d. but clash of the titans, which had so much 3-d potential, was a letdown.

saw this yesterday. very cute! delivered a nice message and was not at all preachy in doing so. not for very young kids as some parts are pretty scary.
side note- i’m all about the 3-d movies now. so it’s extra, whatever! it’s worth it (so far at least), especially if you go to a matinee.

you can keep your citizen kanes and your casablancas. for my money, this is one of the best movies of all time. OF ALL TIME!!

you guys!! go see this movie!! it’s witty and funny and has a great soundtrack. i laughed so hard, i was near tears. gave me a great, feel-good time.
